Besides running, one of my biggest passions is traveling. In fact, I first started blogging while I studied abroad in Italy in 2008 with a travel blog,
La Dolce Vita. It was mainly a way to chronicle my adventures, mishaps, and experiences and share them with family and friends back home. In my six months abroad I managed to visit 7 countries as well as numerous cities throughout Italy. It was once of the most incredible, life-changing, memorable experiences of my life.
Since graduating I haven't had as many opportunities to travel as I would like, but I've still managed to squeeze in some trips to some pretty amazing places. I'll often combine two of my passions, racing and traveling, by doing a race in a new place and making a mini-vacation out of it. In fact my love of traveling is the biggest factor behind my
50 States Marathon quest. I think there are few ways to see a city better than by your own two feet : ) While this is and will remain a blog about running, training, and racing, I thought I'd include a page with links to recaps of some of the amazing places I've visited. Enjoy!
